Dom wasn't ready for that. He wasn't ready for any of this, he didnt think he couldn't think. A man just died right in front of him. He wasn't playing the heroic blame game just yet, he just wasn't expecting it.
"Oof!"
It was as if the on switch was hidden somewhere deep inside his ass and his falling on it activated a kicking mechanism , which headed straight for Sylvan's knee.

"Oh!" Sylvan was taken by surprise. Dom's reaction seemed almost reflexive and gave him less than an instant to react. He side-stepped, but not fast enough. The young man's foot glanced off his knee. It burned, and settled down to a throb, but it was better than it being broken. Still. Ow.
"Nicely done. You going to fight for real, now?" He taunted. He should be working, really. He was here to pick someone up. But Avalon was taking care of most of that, so maybe he had some time for a little recreation. Sylvan didn't wait for it, though, settling back into a actual fighting stance instead of just standing there, and aimed another kick, this time at the still-downed-boy's chest.

Was he going to? Dom was still on his ass, could he? Since he didn't fancy getting kicked in the chest, of course he could. He could have done a sort of block, but he'd still be getting kicked. Sylvan's foot went straight into Dom's grasp, where he would twist ad then hopefully, bring Sylvan to his level. As in n the ground.
Fuck it.

Dom caught Sylvan's kick in an iron grip and flipped the smaller man right into the dirt. Sylvan crumpled, groaning as he pushed himself up onto his elbows, rolled over, and jumped back to his feet. Pain sung through his skin, mostly at his joints, which had hit the ground the hardest and had the least padding. He was sure as hell going to be stiff the next day... But right now, he liked it. And he wanted more.
So he kept attacking him. He didn't have the power his opponent did, but he was fast, aiming punches and kicks seemingly at random. It was pretty clear he was toying around, trying to aggravate the young man rather than kill him outright.

Now that they were both down, Dom took this as a chance to get up and hopefully make a break for it. Sylvan was faster than he was, and was up and punching in to time. Dom responded passively by blocking most of Sylvan's hits, and any of the hits that did land would do more damage to Sylvan's fists than Dom.
With one mighty swing Dom would throw a punch that would hopefully incapacitate his attacker long enough for him to retreat.

One of Sylvan's attack's grazed Dom's arm as he was blocked, doing no damage to the young man, of course, but proving something to Sylvan immediately; he was a lot harder than his simple clothes would have lead Sylvan to believe. Hm. Another miscalculation. Nothing he couldn't deal with though, thankfully.
When Dom struck, Sylvan was just as thankful that he was quick. Had he been hit by that it would have been lights out, certainly...And then Avalon would have probably killed the boy for doing him damage. He didn't want that. The punch glanced off his shoulder. He would be bruised, and it hurt immediately, but he was still standing.
Getting an idea, Sylvan feinted an attack to the young man's groin... and went to punch his throat instead. He wouldn't be strong enough to collapse the boy's windpipe, but it would certainly hurt, if it landed.

Dom couldn't believe his eyes. What kind of man does that? Nobody, especially someone who can sympathize with excruciating dick pain ever made a shot to another guy's penis, it just wasn't done, and broke every unwritten rule in the bro code. It wasn't fair, it was despicable.
But these weren't like the sessions at the dojo, in reality people fought dirty, maybe if he indulged in a little foul play himself he wouldn't be making a sound like air escaping from a tire and would be high tailing it out of there. Dom crumpled to the ground and gasped for air, wishing for the first time in his life that he had taken a pot shot to the nuts instead.

Sylvan was happy to watch Dom crumple, falling on to the ground, the air whistling in his throat. He was a rather well-built young man, filled out in all the right places, handsome as any college girl could want... Or, as any sadistic psycho might enjoy watching suffer. And this was (maybe) better than seeing the boy in only pain, watching him try to gasp for breath, helpless until he could get more oxygen to fuel his powerful body.
Sylvan stepped over to him, grabbing the collar of his shirt. Without magic, someone of Sylvan's stature could not hope to lift someone of Dom's build. But, there was more to Sylvan than his lean appearance, and with a little effort, he lifted the young man, twisting his hand to make sure that even if he did manage to regain his senses he would still be oxygen starved. With Sylvan's other hand (and the sound of crumbling, collapsing stone and metal ringing in his ears), he pulled his mask down his face to look Dom square in the eye. "Just a fair warning, and I'll only say this once. Helping other people will only get you killed... but I'll be merciful today. It's just because you're cute." The smile on his lips was rather unlike the one Vesdel had seen earlier. That one had been unselfconcious, bright and maybe a little dorky and cute. This one was confident, cold, and would have made Avalon soak her panties in a heartbeat.
Sylvan moved fluidly, bracing one of his feet behind Dom's semi-limp leg, turning his body and bringing his other foot down sharply on the boy's knee, snapping it backwards with a crack.

"GUHAH! GUHAH!"
Dom did his best baby bird impression, mouth agape sucking as much air as he could through a collapsed trachea. His chest heaved up and down in spastic eager breaths and eyes glassed over, gleaming an exaggerated expression of discomfort, staring long and hard at the face of his assailant.
Drawing his victim close into a more intimate embrace, he could feel the agonizing tremors quaking through his form and if he listened closely, could catch the tiny pleas for mercy he managed to stutter between gasps. Having such a hefty daunting fearless man reduced to tears in his clutches must have been an invigorating sensation. The pay off was well worth it.
"P-please." "HRAAAAAAaaaa!" All he needed was a little help to find his breath again. Screams tore out of his throat and reverberated back to him . His cries didn't go unnoticed however, as one of the prisoners were watching, hidden well away behind the debris, cursing under their breath.
"Fucker!"

Avalon heard the scream and giggled to herself a little. Aw, her master must have had so much fun! He was going to have to make it up to her, leaving her with all that work to do. The compound was almost entirely obliterated, except for a wall here or there that were slumped over or standing on their own. Avalon bounced over to one of these walls with a very sour looking man nearby, and she leaned on it, smiling at him behind her mask. "Hey, handsome~" She cooed. "You're coming with me, hehe." She extended her hand, one finger beckoning him nearer to her.
Sylvan watched Dom on the ground, pulling his mask back in to place. He had spent a little too much time playing, but it was worth it... Oh, god was it worth it. Avalon was going to be a busy girl that night... And maybe Vesdel, too, hm... But that really depended what sort of trouble he could get in with the man...
He was about to shut Dom up, knock the boy out to put him out of his misery, at least until he got to the hospital, but when he looked from Avalon back to his (absolutely delectable) victim, he spotted a problem. Between the two of them was someone else. A boy around Dom's age, but with lemony blonde hair and sharp grey eyes. And he looked intent on stopping Sylvan from getting near him again.
Sylvan didn't have time to fight someone else. Not when sirens were already wailing, getting closer every second. He marked the boy's face, just in case he got another chance, and then turned to Avalon. "Pet, we're going." He said shortly. Avalon took John's hands (he hadn't stopped scowling, and though he looked to be the most displeased person on the planet, he hadn't moved to stop her), still giggling, and she winked at him. "Hold on tight!" In a flash, the three of them were gone.
Charon dropped down immediately beside the kid, pulling his shirt off and pressing it to the blood that was flowing from his knee. It probably didn't feel to good, but Charon was pretty sure he was going to be incoherent from pain anyways. "Hey, man, just hang on, the ambulances are coming. You're gonna be okay..." He sounded a little panicky but his voice was at least mostly level. This is what he got for going for a walk. So much for finding new and inventive ways to avoid Aya!

"Damnit John!" Stupid asshole following anything with a vagina around like a lost puppydog. He was supposed to be a grown ass man, she was like one tenth his size, she wasn't making him do anything, and now they disappeared in a flash of light. Good job, he was probably dead now. People didn't just vanish.
He desperately wanted to help the kid bleeding on the ground but was deterred by the sound of approaching sirens. If they found a man in an orange prison jumpsuit at the scene of a destroyed jail site it would look exactly like what it looked like, which should be him escaping. He waited a moment to make sure somebody came to the kids aid and then made a break for it.
Dom didn't question Charon or resist his assistance, it was what he was initially trying to do in the first place, but he never thought he'd be on the receiving end of the treatment. For the sake of his ally he co operated as best as he could, nodded his head and stuffed his hoody into his mouth, biting down to tough out the pain and muffle the screaming until the paramedics arrived.

Charon was putting gentle pressure on the young man's knee. It didn't seem to be bleeding much, but the fact that it was couldn't have been good. The young man in question was still conscious AND coherent. Had Charon not been so worried, he would have been impressed. He even managed to nod at Charon's words.
In seconds, it seemed, there were paramedics and cops everywhere. They pulled Dom onto a stretcher, and soon Charon was answering questions to a female paramedic and a male policeman. It was fast enough to make his head spin.
"We're going to want to question you further. Just to get a description of the attack, anything you could make out of the attack, that sort of thing." After he answered the paramedic's questions the woman vanished. He'd end up at the hospital shortly himself, he knew, so that was what he told the cop. "I'll be headed after them after I grab a new shirt from home. Want to make sure the guy's got family and stuff to look after him." There was blood on his hands that he noticed while talking to the cop and he sighed and wiped it on his jeans. "Can I come by the station tonight to talk to you?"
The cop said it would be fine, and Charon gave him his contact stuff before he headed home...shirtless. The weather was still good, but he was in blood-spotted jeans and very upset by what he had seen, so his walk wasn't exactly pleasant. He rushed home, got changed, and headed straight for the hospital. The whole thing got him there maybe a half hour after Dom had arrived, the blonde college student looking frazzled but at least in clean clothes.
He talked to the front desk, and since he wasn't kin, he knew he wasn't going to be kept in the loop entirely. But, since he was the one who had been with him, they at least let him know that Dom was in surgery, and would let him wait in the waiting room.

The hospital waiting room was the usual scene, miserable. It was a consistent theme all over the globe, some people had been waiting there for hours and hours on end, nursing minor injuries, holding their breath waiting for news from the doctor, settling down impatient children and hushing weeping loves ones, or trying to cool down the temper of people who weren't as understanding, this waiting room had it all, and a certain sharp dressed man wouldn't have any of it.
He just sat there perfectly composed. His wife and grand kid stayed home, the only place for a young girl in a hospital was in an emergency room or on an operating table, not squirming and being antsy waiting forever in a room. Last thing he needed was to take care of his broken ass grand son, fidgety grand kid and devastated wife.
They could be filled in once everything was all said an accounted for. Not to say he wasn't thrilled about it either. Over hearing Charon's inquiry did stir some kind of reaction in him. He glanced at the young man...

Charon looked strained but the woman at the desk was polite with him. He managed a charming smile that was only about half it's normal wattage, but she smiled back and he felt a little better. As he was going to sit, though, he noticed he was being looked at. Not glared at, exactly. More like...evaluated. It wasn't something he was used to, but far from something he could not handle.
"Here for family?" Charon asked, his tone polite but sympathetic. He took his seat one away from the man, keeping space between them. The man was older but very well-dressed, something Charon had to notice as, well, people didn't normally show up to a hospital waiting room looking very put together.

When John next opened his eyes he was standing somewhere he'd never seen before, though he didn't take the time to actually look around or take in his surroundings, he was more used to thinking on the fly, battle most often didin't leave time for planning anyway. "where the hell am I and why am I here? or do you like keeping people you've broken out of prison in the dark?" He was short in tone and the edge of anger a constant in his voice. "ain't complaining, but you left behind a very important asset to me."
